Sumit is a child prodigy turned jazz/blues/soul singer/songwriter who is heavily inspired by the vocal stylings of Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone. He recently spoke and performed at TEDxGateway 2016 at The National Center for the Performing Arts in Mumbai where he received a standing ovation. He has been featured on digit.in, free press journal and in the Verve Magazine, in the article, ‘The Making of Modern Day Icons.’ He has performed everywhere in Delhi including the Piano Man Jazz Club, The Grub Fest 2016, Depot48, Le Bistro Du Parc, The Korean Pop Cultural Festival 2016, NCPA Bombay, among many other places. With an offer already in hand to study jazz at Berklee College of Music, he is considering the possibility of starting his professional education in the coming years.
