When I was just fourteen or fifteen years old, I dreamt of becoming a writer-director who'd fascinate the world with his amusing storytelling. An avid reader and a keen follower of Ruskin Bond, I learnt on my own how words alone could create pictures and move people. As I grew older and the pragmatism dawned upon me, I realized that aspiring to be a screenplay writer in Bollywood was going to be more of a wild goose chase but the dream kept itself alive somewhere in the depths of my life. And with Bollywood all of a sudden looking for newer stories and all traditional storytelling coming to a passe, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. My mentor says that to have hope is to be alive. And with this hope, I have started writing stories, screenplays, participating in contests, and reaching out to creative people who believe in the power of stories; who still believe that the content is the king!
