About me

Shahrukh Sayyed is a film maker (cinematographer), born in India, working and living in Mumbai & Pune, Maharashtra. He has studied Post Graduate Diploma in Film and Television (Cinematography) at MIT School of Film & Television, Pune, Maharashtra; and short diploma course in Film Editing at NEI India Film & Television Institute Pune, Maharashtra.

He has directed, shot & edited various short narrative fiction and documentary films, commercial ad films, experimental and music videos during the last five years of work. He had studied Bachelors in Computer Science and did work in different News Channels as Creative Editor and Post Production Professional.

He had been International jury member for CreActive Open International Film Festival, Dhaka in 2016. He had also done Film Appreciation course from Film & Television Institute of India Pune, Maharashtra.

He had shot a Punjabi short (diploma) film named as Nirbhau, with director Sidhant Verma in 2017.

Shot a Marathi Feature Film titled, 'Balance' Directed by Swaroop Sawant under Royal Samruddhi Associates.

Assisted to DOP Sidhant Chowdhry for A.I.SHA My Vertual Girlfriend Season 3 (Arré Channel) also worked as 2nd Unit DOP for the same project.

Nirbhau is a Punjabi Film. The story is about a man named Beant Singh who is in search of his reality and identity in terms of his faith in the country's governing power. After the success of Operation Blue Star (1984) held at the Golden Temple (Harmandar Sahib) in Amritsar and the loss of the lives of Sikhs and other people due to the attacks held in there, Beant Singh gets very disturbed and decides to kill the Prime Minister (Indira Gandhi) who was the main suspect after all the mishaps. But in his unconscious mind he narrates the whole story about his struggle with himself and the dreams he experiences while being awake. How the stream of his unconscious mind and his fears, his memories and dreams leads him to murder the Prime Minister, is the journey of the film. Nirbhau is a Punjabi Film.
