• Northern Indian appearance, ideally darker in skin tone and looks like from rural
background
• Traditional look: long hair; short, natural nails
• Ideally a mother herself (i.e. Someone who has given birth in real life)
• Not necessary for the actor to be pregnant
• Actor must feel confident and comfortable playing a woman in labour
